Established Applicants can be teams (both consortia and individual participants) who have experience of at least 3 completed projects (or are under implementation) of sea and ocean embankments, projects for the integrated development of coastal areas, beaches and other public spaces.

Young Applicants can be called teams (both consortia and individual participants) who have experience in 3 implemented, unrealized or in the process of implementing projects of sea and ocean embankments, projects of integrated development of coastal territories, beaches and other public spaces, clearly indicating the level and quality of their work.
Novice Applicants are those Applicants whose work experience in the architectural field does not exceed 10 years, namely, the Applicant (in the case of a Consortium, all participants of such a Consortium) must be registered no earlier than 01.01.2011 in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities or in a similar register (for foreign applicants).

The applicant has the right to independently determine the category of participation, but the members of the competition jury, when considering the Applicant's application at the jury meeting, have the right to assign it to a category different from the one indicated in the application, referring to their vision of the applicant according to his portfolio and knowledge of the market.
Applicants must provide a motivational letter in the format of an ESSAY, describing how the Applicant sees the updated territory of the embankment and how the assembled team of specialists can solve the competitive problem.

The ESSAY is filled out on the contest website in your personal account when submitting an application.
The following information can be reflected in the motivation letter:
- basic principles and approaches to the design of the seafront territory;
- justification of the composition of specialists, the distribution of areas of responsibility and tasks in the project, as well as the experts involved (if the Applicant attracts experts to participate);
- justification of sample projects that can serve as a guide when working on a competitive proposal;
- examples of relevant projects of an individual participant/ Consortium;
- description of the solutions in the projects that can be used in the competitive project for the Imeretinskaya embankment.
The principles and approaches should correlate with the project principles and the initial conditions specified in the Invitation to Participate document.

Text size: no more than 3,000 characters.

Applicants are recommended to accompany the ESSAY with visual materials for a more precise representation of their vision of the territory.

As visual materials, you can use diagrams, sketches, visualizations, collages, references to other projects (indicating the project and the author).
You can attach no more than 2 images to the ESSAY.
